My grandad passed on to me his love of justice and equality and encouraged me to get involved in the causes that were close to my heart. So the fight for women's equality and education have always been at the heart of my concerns. The Rayon of Aasha project corresponds to all my values and it was obvious for me to get involved.

Why did I join Rayon-of-Aasha?
Because its aim speaks to my heart and mind.
Because it's right that girls should have the same opportunities as boys.
Because I'm convinced that emancipation comes through education, and education through school.
Educate a girl and you educate her whole future family!

During one of our many walks.
Catherine told me about her project to open a school for girls in India with a friend, Agnell.
It is located in Pune. Agnell will manage the running of the school on site, while working with Catherine (president of the association).
with Catherine (president of the association).
Catherine is looking for a secretary.
After thinking about it, this project appeals to me. I think it's a very interesting challenge and I'd like to be there from the very beginning.
of its creation.
So I confirmed to her that I would be there to provide the secretarial services.
And here I am today, a year into the adventure alongside Catherine, d'Agnell and the members of the committee.
We've come a long way since our discussion on that walk, and we're now on the verge of opening this school.
of this school...... There are still a lot of things to do ..... and a lot of ground to cover...... before it officially opens.

When Catherine spoke to me about this project, I felt it was important to give and give back a little of what I had received.
It's unimaginable that these days, some women still don't have access to education, and what that implies.
So offering a little of my time was a no-brainer, even if it's very little given the real needs.

As a woman and a nursery director, it seemed logical to me to get involved in this project to create a school for girls in Pune.
In fact, in the spring of 2022, I met Agnell. During this meeting, he explained to me his project to create a school and demonstrated his seriousness and professionalism in his approach.
This school is an essential tool -improving training -enabling girls to look forward to a decent, professional future and passing on their knowledge to their future children.
